What We Believe

Our stories follow our beliefs.

We believe in one God, Creator, and the Lord of the universe, eternally existing in three-person: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

John 6:27; John 1:1, 18; Titus 2:12-13; Acts 5:3-4

We believe in the unity of the Trinity.

Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 48:16, Matthew 28:19, 1 Timothy 2:5

We believe that all the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in their original writings. The Bible contains all the words of God that we need in order to completely know and trust Him; and is the final authority and standard for faith and practice – sufficient for counsel in every issue of life.

Psalm 119:97-104; Psalm 119:160; Matthew 4:4; Matthew 5:18, 5:46-47; I Thessalonians 2:13; II Timothy 3:15-16; Hebrews 4:12

We believe Jesus Christ is eternal, that He is God’s son and was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

Micah 5:2, John 1:1,14, 17:5; Revelation 1:8, Matthew 1:25; Luke 1:26-28

We believe He lived a sinless life and died a substitutionary atoning death on the cross for our sins.

Isaiah 53;10; Romans 3:21-26; Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 2:1-2

We believe Christ rose in bodily form from the dead and ascended to Heaven.

Acts 1:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Ephesians 1:20

We believe Jesus was fully God and fully man and is the only mediator between God and man.

John 1:1, 18, Titus 2:13, Hebrews 13:8, 1 Timothy 2:5, Luke 2:52, John 4:6, 19:28, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25, 9:24, 1 Timothy 2:5, 1 John 2:1-2

We believe all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again – his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.

Mark 16:16; Acts 4:12; Acts 16:30-31; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:1-9; Romans 6:22-23; Romans 10:9-10

Accepting the work of Jesus on our behalf results in a spiritual rebirth. This birth leads to spiritual maturity and transformation in individuals and the church.

Believers are called to live in God’s power and to experience a life of dynamic change, becoming more like Christ in character each day.

John 16:8-11, Romans 8:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians 4:30, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, 1 Peter 1:2

We believe Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in glory to raise the dead and bring salvation and judgment to completion. God will fully manifest His kingdom when He establishes a new heaven and earth, in which He will be glorified forever. The new kingdom will be without evil, suffering, and death.

Zechariah 14:1-9, Matthew 25:31-46, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 19:11-21, Revelation 20
